A 78 year-old thief was arrested in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on Monday, February 17. According to the Greek Police, the thief, who is of Georgian origin, attempted to rob a liquor store. As it appears, the man was holding a knife and threatened to use physical force on the store’s employee if she would not give him the money from the cash register. However, the employee refused to do so and the old man fled the store only to be arrested by a Greek Police squad a few minutes later. The thief is being held in custody and the police officers are trying to determine if he is involved in other crimes as well.
