Greece welcomes the decision by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to enact a decree-law on holding legislative, presidential and National Council elections in the coming months, starting with legislative elections on 22 May in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. This is a vital step towards participative democratic institutions and ultimately, a negotiated two-state solution.
