PM Dancila announces participation in Romania-Bulgaria-Greece meeting, Netanyahu also to be present

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila announced she will participate on Friday in Varna in a new high level meeting Romania-Bulgaria-Greece-Serbia, Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu being also invited in the working lunch organised on the sidelines of the meeting. “On Friday, November 2, I will be participating in a new high-level meeting in Varna, in a Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia format. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Prime Minister The State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu was also invited at the working lunch organized by the Bulgarian side,” premier Dancila informed at the beginning of Wednesday’s Gov’t sitting. According to the head of the Executive, the meeting in Varna will be the occasion for further discussions on the interconnection of the region, with a focus on the transport, energy and telecommunications sectors. “At the same time, the meeting will allow for a presentation of the objectives of the future Presidency of the Council of the European Union held by Romania starting January 1, 2019, and which will have an impact on regional cooperation,” Dancila said.   Official  visits to Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, 3-8 November   Prime Minister Viorica Dancila announced that 3 to 8 November she will carry out official visits to the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar. “On this occasion, we will open the Romanian Embassy in the Sultanate of Oman and we will inaugurate the Honorary Consulate of Romania. The visit to Doha represents the second contact between a Romanian Prime Minister and his counterpart in Qatar since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two states on October 22, 1990. Through this high-level meeting, we are interested in the strengthening of the bilateral relations both diplomatically and economically,” Viorica Dancila said on Wednesday at the opening of the Government sitting.
