Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, attends Greek-Moroccan Business Forum (Casablanca, 3 May 2018)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, today opened the proceedings of the Greek-Moroccan Business Forum being held in Casablanca in cooperation with the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).In his opening speech, Mr. Katrougalos presented the latest data on the Greek economy, stressing that Greece is emerging dynamically from the memorandum era, having embarked on a course of growth. Greece is gradually developing an internationalised economy based on increased exports, strengthened investments, attraction of investments via its unique geographical position, the biodiversity of its products, and its highly educated younger generation.The business forum allowed for the best possible understanding of the economic conditions in Morocco. This will facilitate the development of bilateral cooperation and, in particular, an increase of Greek exports. To this end, SEV and the CGEM signed a memorandum of cooperation.  The forum was attended by twelve Greek enterprises active in sectors such as construction, agri-food, steel, pharmaceuticals, chemical products and telecommunications.This evening, Mr. Katrougalos will travel to Rabat, where he will meet with representatives of the Moroccan government.
