First GREEK-letter fraternity for women celebrates 148th Founders Day

Missy Eliot presented the chapter's highest honor, Theta Woman of the Year, to Denver Alumnae Chapter Past President Valerie Lunka. Kappa Alpha Theta, the first GREEK-letter fraternity for women, was founded at Indiana Asbury College (now DePauw University) in Greencastle, Ind. in January 1870.
