Farmers angry over austerity policies, blocked roads in central Greece on Monday, in what could prove to be the start of a series of nationwide actions. Dozens of tractors and other agricultural vehicles, many flying flags, were parked on the major E65 highway in Karditsa, causing traffic disruption.
