FTSE resumes record run despite dip in oil price

The UK’s FTSE 100 index hit a new record high of 7,774 despite a fall in oil prices to below $69 a barrel * GKN shares jump 25% after it rejects Melrose approach 9.47am GMT Over to Greece now where workers are staging a mass walk-out in opposition to a proposed new wave of reforms and austerity measures.
