An incredible, eerie cloud formation looming over Crete this week had local people imagining aliens had arrived. Photographer Yiannis Gkikas captured the rare sight on Thursday with his camera over Rethymno; his striking pictures were posted on the Meteokrites Weather website by Eirini Kalatzaki.
