Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Terens Quick participating in Greece-Cyprus-Egypt Trilateral Meeting on diaspora issues (Nicosia, 19 December 2017)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Terens Quick is participating today in a Greece-Cyprus-Egypt trilateral meeting on diaspora issues, in Nicosia, with the Presidential Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, Fotis Fotiou, and the Egyptian Minister of Immigration and Expatriates Affairs, Nabila Makram. During the meeting, a trilateral cooperation protocol will be signed for the implementation of the “Nostos” plan, which was recently announced by Egyptian President Sisi and concerns the organization of a visit of Egyptiote Greeks from Greece, Cyprus and other third countries to the historical communities of Hellenism in Egypt, with the focus on Alexandria, one of the most historically and culturally important Hellenistic centres in the Mediterranean. Finally, Mr. Quick and Ms. Makram, accompanied by Commissioner Fotiou, will visit and lay a wreath at the Makedonitissa Tomb, paying their respects to the Greek and Cypriot fallen. The Deputy Minister is being accompanied by the head of the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad, Michael Kokkinos.
