These photos show what life is like aboard a US aircraft carrier

[uss harry s. truman]Flickr/US Navy Photo Aircraft carriers are among the ultimate examples of the US' military strength.  Housing over 5,000 crew members and capable of carrying out missions for months at a time, aircraft carriers allow the US to project serious military force at any point around the globe. For the past seven months, the USS Harry S. Truman has been taking part in strikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.  After many months of continuous duty, which resulted in over 2,000 strikes against ISIS, the aircraft carrier arrived at the Greek island of Crete on June 21 to give its crew a much-needed break. But even while engaging in operations, aircraft carriers have many of the amenities found on land.  The following photos show what life was like for the crew members of the USS Harry S. Truman.
