Britain agrees to take unaccompanied Syrian children. Why now?

The Conservative government said children would be eligible if they registered in Greece, Italy or France before March 20, 2016, the week the European Union struck a controversial deal to return many migrants to Turkey. Britain's plan comes amid growing concerns about what happens to unaccompanied children once they arrive in Europe.
