Shackled Skeletons Might Tell Story of Rise of Ancient Athens

Archaeologists are to study shackled skeletons found at the ancient cemetery in the Faliro port city in order to understand the rise of the Athens city-state. According to a Forbes report written by Kristina Killgrove, Faliro cemetery is one of the largest excavated in Greece, containing more than 1,500 skeletons and dating to the 8th-5th centuries
