The 'Option' key is the most underrated key on the Apple keyboard

With a swift click, you can navigate up and down a page with ease, write with good grammar in nearly every language, and insert special characters, including the trademark and copyright symbols.  Try these Option key shortcuts to unlock your productivity. NAVIGATE A PAGE AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT Option + Delete = Delete the word to the left of the cursor Option + Left arrow = Move the cursor to the beginning of the previous word Option + Right arrow = Move the cursor to the end of the next word Shift + Option + Left arrow = Select text from the cursor to the beginning of the current word (hit the arrow key again to include the previous word, as well) Shift + Option + Right arrow = Select text from the cursor to the end of the current word (hit the arrow key again to include the following word, as well) Command + Option + F = Select search field Command + Option + D = Hide or reveal the Dock WRITE FOREIGN LANGUAGE CHARACTERS _The Option key unlocks a number of characters that are useful when typing in a language other than English. Tap it at the same time as one of the keys listed below, and an accent mark will appear.
