Russian President Vladimir Putin has contacted the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde on the telephone in order to discuss the outcome of the referendum in Greece , the Kremlin announced on Monday. “There was a discussion on issues of cooperation between Russia and the IMF, in the context of the results of the referendum, on July 5, in Greece, concerning the terms of extending financial assistance to Athens by the international creditors,” the announcement said.
