Russian President Vladimir Putin has contacted the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde on the telephone in order to discuss the outcome of the referendum in Greece , the Kremlin announced on Monday. “There was a discussion on issues of cooperation between Russia and the IMF, in the context of the results of the referendum, on July 5, in Greece, concerning the terms of extending financial assistance to Athens by the international creditors,” the announcement said. It concluded by expressing hope that efforts to find the best solution to the problem of Greece’s debt will continue, taking into account the interests of all sides.” (source: ana-mpa)
