Greek PM Faces Party Opposition On Euro Deal

The Greek prime minister is facing dissent from within his party over the terms of the European bailout deal agreed on Monday. Reports say around 30 of Alexis Tsipras' 149 Syriza party colleagues will vote against the government and reject the deal when it goes to a vote in parliament in Athens within the next few days. The deal was drawn up in the early hours of Monday morning after 17 hours of intensive talks, and will force Mr Tsipras to abandon his pledges to end austerity in the country.
