Which Tourists Are Most Disappointed By Their Vacation in Greece?

Swedish tourists appear to complain more than any other after their visit to Greece, while most of them stated they were unhappy with Greek restaurants and hotels. The information was made public at an event to mark the 10th year of operation of the European Commission’s Consumer Centers Network. According to the figures, European consumers who have had problems in transactions with Greek businesses mostly come from Sweden (15.4%), Belgium (11.4%), the UK (11.2%), Germany (9.1%) and Norway (7.6%). Their complaints mainly concern restaurants, hotels and accommodation services (50.7%), followed by transport (32.7%), recreation and culture (5.2%), clothing and footwear (1.7%) and communication (1.5%). On the other hand, Greek consumers submitted complaints related to business transactions in the UK (20.7%), Germany (16.2%), Italy (12.7%), Cyprus (12.1%) and Spain (11.2%). As for the cause of their complaints, most Greeks were disappointed about transportation (37.9%), followed by recreation and culture (17.5%), communication (13.3%), restaurants, hotels and accommodation services (6.1%) and lastly about clothing and footwear (5.2%).
