The Greek government‘s aim in the negotiation with creditors is a comprehensive agreement that is economically and socially viable, Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said in a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament’s Green group. The meeting was also attended by Greece’s Alternate Minister for the Environment Yiannis Tsironis. A Finance Ministry announcement said that the delegation expressed understanding and support for the Greek position for tackling the debt on terms of sustainability and growth, with a major investment program as the best response for dealing with the crisis.
