Obama and Hollande to Join Forces for Greek Crisis

United States President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande had a phone conversation on Monday, in which they reached an agreement to increase their cooperation in restarting dialogue on a Greek bailout program, a source close to Francois Hollande revealed. “They have agreed to pool their efforts to facilitate a resumption of the talks so as to find a solution to the crisis as soon as possible and ensure Greece’s financial stability,” the source specified. Meanwhile, a discussion between the U.S. President and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had preceded on Sunday, while United States Treasury Secretary Jack Lew had contacted Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras regarding the latest developments over the Greek debt crisis.
