4 Greek Food Celebrations to Satisfy Demanding Palates

Three special gastronomic events will take place in Athens, the “Athens Food Festival” at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF), the “Greek Flavors Festival” at Technopolis, and the “Gastronomy Days” at the Benaki Museum, while the “Sani Gourmet Food Festival” will open its curtains for the 10th consecutive year at Halkidiki. By visiting the Athens Food Festival, you can meet with over 200 small producers and learn about approximately 500 different kinds of local traditional products, delicious recipes and unknown culinary secrets from all over the country, as well as attend gastronomic presentations made by Greek chefs and food connoisseurs. The Greek Flavors Festival, which is organized twice a year (on spring and at Christmas), is a wider Greek culture celebration that hosts around 140 successful Greek exhibitors. By visiting Technopolis, from May 8 through May 10, you can attend workshops, cooking classes and lots of music events and amusing happenings. Athens’ Benaki Museum will highlight the exciting gastronomic presence of Peloponnese during its annual event Gastronomy Days from May 22 through May 24. This specific celebration underlines the uniqueness of the flavors and aromas of Peloponnese promoting, simultaneously, all the products through networking and presentations. Sani Gourmet Food Festival constitutes a world- renowned annual culinary celebration, in which some of the most talented chefs from Greece and elsewhere take part.
