Number of Undocumented Migrants That Entered Greece Was 10,445 in Q1

The number of undocumented migrants who have entered Greece by sea through various means amounted to 10,445 people in the first quarter of 2015 (January, February, March) compared to 2,863 people in the same period last year, according to the Greek Coast Guard. In March 2015, 6,498 undocumented migrants entered into several islands of the eastern Aegean. The islands that receive the largest wave of undocumented migrants is Lesvos, which is first on the list, with approximately 4,500 undocumented migrants, with the islands of Chios, Leros and Samos following.
