Tsipras Calls for Joint Talks With Germany, France During Summit

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has called for joint talks with top European Officials during Thursday’s European Union Summit in Brussels. The Greek leader has asked to talk with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi and EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, a state official said. On Thursday’s Summit, European leaders will discuss the issues of Russia and Ukraine. Tsipras wants a meeting with the key European officials to discuss Greece’s bailout. So far, there has been no response to Greece’s request. “I have now no confirmation of any particular meeting arrangements,” EU Commission spokeswoman Mina Andreeva told the Associated Press. However, according to Greek Skai radio, Tsipras has called European Council President Donald Tusk and has arranged the five-party joint discussion.
