New Democracy: Nothing New Came up from Tsipras’ Meeting with Merkel

Nothing new came up at the meeting between Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Monday, the country’s main opposition said, following the two leaders’ joint press conference. “It is obvious that nothing new came up from tonight’s meeting,” New Democracy spokesman Costas Karagounis said, noting that if one compares what was said tonight during the press conference with Tsipras’ letter to Merkel, in which he described the country’s liquidity shortage in a dramatic way, there is nothing new to note. “The Greek government must do everything it can to exit the dead-end it has created for itself by implementing the February 20 agreement. Because every day that goes by, the bill gets larger,” Karagounis added. (source: ana-mpa)
