Greek, Chinese FMs Meet in Beijing

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias in Beijing. During their meeting, Wang Yi said that the mutual trust and support between China and Greece are the foundation of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. Wang said China and Greece should expand the pragmatic cooperation and the two countries should make the “Piraeus port project” an example of win-win cooperation. Wang also said China hopes to work with Greece to further promote the development of the China-Europe relationship. For his part, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said Greece appreciates China’s solid support to Greece, especially during difficult times. He said Greece highly values and supports the Piraeus port project and hopes to play a positive role in building the China-Europe land-sea express line. Kotzias said the Greek government hopes to sign mid-to-long term cooperation deals with China to deepen bilateral ties. (source: cntv)
