Main Greek bank stocks slump by a quarter

Athens (AFP) - The shares of Greece's four main banks lost more than a quarter of their value on Wednesday as the Athens stock market took fright after the government pushed its demand for debt relief.At the end of a turbulent day, Piraeus Bank lost nearly 29 percent, Alpha Bank was down around 26 percent and National Bank and Eurobank shed around 25 percent.Join the conversation about this story »
