Greek Stock Exchange 5 Points Up After QE Announcement

The announcement of the 1.1 trillion euros quantitative easing program by the European Central Bank brought a rise in the Athens Stock Exchange. The QE program announced yesterday by ECB President Mario Draghi had international markets on an upswing with the Athens Stock Exchange following suit. At 12:35 pm on Friday, the Athens Index was at 831.97 points, + 5.07% and sales at 55.46 million euros. At the same time, the Greek spreads of 10-year Greek bonds subsided, while the euro exchange rate against the dollar was at 1.13320.
