Greek PM Briefs Anastasiades on Davutoglu Meeting

Greek PM Antonis Samaras last night briefed President Nicos Anastasiades on his meeting earlier in the day with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, with whom he discussed the Cyprus problem and Turkish violations of the island’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). According to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) Samaras said that resolving the Cyprus problem, the withdrawal of the Turkish seismic vessel Barbaros, and restarting the peace talks were the first items on the agenda. Davutoglu is in Athens to attend the 3rd Turkey Greece High-Level Cooperation Council, along with seven ministers. He will co-chair the Council meeting today with Samaras.
