The 30th Annual Tourism Fair ‘Philoxenia’ in Thessaloniki

In its 30th year, Philoxenia, Greece’s annual fair on tourism, aims for the development of strategies and business alliances among tourism professionals. The fair will run from November 13 to 16 2014 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, located at the Northern Greek port city of Thessaloniki. During this coming weekend, Philoxenia is also open to the public to introduce them to new holiday destinations in Greece. Philoxenia serves as a forum of exchange between regional market players and local tourism professionals. It is considered as one of the largest tourism sector shows in southeast Europe. It provides the chance to explore the business opportunities in both Greece and the wider Balkan region. The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) website has further launched the “Philoxenia 2014 Special,” a section that contains messages from Greece’s key tourism figures, industry professionals and regional governors on the significance of the Philoxenia expo for the Greek tourism industry.
