Travel Bloggers From Around the World Flock to Athens

The TBEX Europe 2014, an international meeting of travel bloggers and tourist media authors, will take place in Athens, Greece on October 23-25. The event will see hundreds of participants from about 50 countries flock to the Greek capital. Athens will welcome participants of this major tourist event with a series of creative hospitality exercises, events and activities. In collaboration with the Athens Traders Association, stores on Pandrosou Street in Monastiraki, central Athens will organize the event’s concluding ceremony on Saturday, October 25. Pandrosou Street – one of Athens’s greatest commercial streets, featuring upwards of 110 stores – is itself a journey through time and history. The organizers of TBEX Europe, in collaboration with municipal and cultural bodies, will provide an artistic and interactive tour of the street. Through outdoor workshops, tastings of traditional Greek products, interactive games and music and dance events, participants will enjoy the best of Athenian hospitality and the city’s tourist industry. Shop owners and local bodies will offer participants the unique opportunity to discover an alternative and authentic side of everyday life in the center of Athens. The event’s organization was undertaken by the Athens Municipality and the Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau.
