November 17 Terrorist Savvas Xeros Asks to be Released

Convicted terrorist Savvas Xeros appeared in court in Piraeus, Greece, on Tuesday morning as part of his appeal to be released from Korydallos Prison on account of poor health. In June, Xeros and his legal team had asked the court of appeals for the inmate to be released from prison and placed under house arrest. Today, they will argue again that the inmate’s health has deteriorated to such an extent that he must be released as soon as possible and be treated at home. Xeros is suffering from multiple sclerosis, as well as other health problems. The appeals court has asked for three medical experts to examine Xeros and present their opinions on the conditions of the convict’s health.
