Lady Gaga halted in front of hundreds of fans, journalists and photographers waiting outside the airport. In a carefully-orchestrated maneuver, sporting a see-through skirt and an eccentric brazier, she was hoisted into her limo by two male dancers. Her “dress” was supposedly influenced by Botticelli’s Aphrodite. The singer arrives in Athens two days before her much-anticipated concert at Athens’s Olympic Stadium this Friday. As she descended the stairs from her airplane, Gaga was spotted wearing just a seashell silver bikini top and a thong under a silver mesh skirt. “Thank you for the beautiful warm welcome Athens,” she later commented on Twitter. “We come in the spirit of love, music, and to celebrate your beautiful history. Where classical art began. We belong together. #ARTPOP #artraveAthens.” Gaga has been travelling around the world on her ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour. Earlier, the 28-year-old singer admitted she was feeling “frisky” after arriving in Athens. She even teased fans with a series of topless pictures. Placing her hands over cleavage to attempt some semblance of modesty, Gaga was seen reclining on a lounger in the first picture (above), which she captioned: “Aphrodite Lady Shower Greekini, feeling frisky. #Venus.”
