Greek Police Arrest Major Heroin Trafficker

Greek Police have arrested two men, a 41-year-old Greek and a 34-year-old Albanian, in Spata, for trafficking large quantities of heroin in Attica and other regions of Greece. According to police, the 34-year-old Albanian was arrested in a garage which was used as a workshop and drug storage space. The 41-year-old Greek was arrested while driving a car in the same area and is considered one the country’s major heroin traffickers. The car used by the traffickers had a built-in storage space for the drugs in the place of the airbag which had been removed. The lid would open only when the mirror and window buttons were pressed simultaneously. Greek Police seized more than 18 kg of heroin, some powder of unknown chemical composition weighing over 11 kg, an AK-47, two pistols, two grenades, 26,130 euros, two precision scales, 12 mobile phones and complete laboratory equipment for the standardization and packaging of drugs.
