PASOK: Greek Finance Ministry Should Consider Court Decision on Cleaners

The Greek Finance Ministry cleaners have finally left PASOK offices, after blocking the entrance of the building in central Athens, since this morning. During the day, the cleaners’ representatives met with the secretary of the Central Committee of PASOK, Nikos Androulakis, who said that he believes the government should abide to the court decision and rehire the 400 Greek Finance Ministry’s cleaners who were laid-off. In May 2014, the First Instance Court of Athens announced its decision in regards to this matter, saying that the government is obliged to rehire the cleaners. After the court announced its decision, the Finance Ministry appealed against it in an attempt to avoid rehiring the cleaners until the appeal had been heard.
