Hospital Tests Clear Ailing Venizelos

Greek Deputy Premier/Foreign Minister/PASOK chief Evangelos Venizelos, who was rushed to the hospital at 1.30 a.m. on June 10 after suffering severe abdominal pain, was found not have any serious problems and would be discharged in time to attend the swearing-in of the government’s revamped Cabinet, doctors said. “PASOK leader, Evangelos Venizelos was admitted to the General Hospital of Athens Hippocrates to be checked because of gastrointestinal pain. Clinical and diagnostic tests have shown no abnormalities. A precautionary angiography was performed, which revealed no evidence of a problem. He will be discharged shortly,” noted the medical report.
