When Charles Lloyd last visited Australia in 2010, he performed with an extraordinary cross-cultural trio called Sangam – the Sanskrit word for ‘confluence’. The Greek Project (a collaboration between Lloyd and the legendary Greek singer Maria Farantouri) represents another creative confluence: a meeting of traditions, cultures, hearts and minds.
