Final List: The 21 MEPs to Represent Greece in the European Parliament
One week after the European elections, the final outcome fro Greek MEPs has been announced. Greek parties have a clear view of the 21 politicians who will represent Greece in the European Parliament for the next five years. Candidates of New Democracy and ELIA parties fought for first place right up until the moment last votes were counted from the polling stations of Thessaloniki, where candidates Eva Kaili and Maria Spyraki come from. SYRIZA gets six out of 21 seats, New Democracy five and the far-right Golden Dawn gets three seats. The socialist coalition Elia, the newly founded To Potami and the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) get two seats each, while the Independent Greeks (ANEL) gets one seat.
