Counter Terrorism Unit on Alert After Bank Robbery

The counter terrorism unit is on alert after a robbery took place in a branch of Piraeus Bank in the village of Sykourio in Larissa, central Greece at 2:10 p.m. on Thursday. It was reported that there were five thieves in total. Two of them were waiting  outside the bank while the other three went in wearing disguises. One of them is described as tall and thin, while the other two were of an average height. It appears that they had planned the perfect robbery. They stole a total of 200,000 euros and escaped in a stolen car which they later burned about 2km outside Sykourio. Greek Police authorities believe that it was a terrorist attack. The main suspects are Nikos Maziotis, head of the terrorist organization “Revolutionary Struggle,” imprisoned members of the “Conspiracy of Cells of Fire” as well as Christodoulos Xeros, a former member of the organization “November 17,” who in the early 90′s, along with other members of the organization was stealing rockets from the local military camp.
