Consumer Goods and Services Very Expensive in Greece

According to a survey conducted by the European Statistical Authority, Eurostat, consumer goods and services price levels in Greece have increased  in 2013 by 102 percent, compared to the EU28 average level. Norway and Denmark scored the highest increases with 177 and 140 percent respectively. Sweden was next, with a 125 percent increase compared to EU28 average. Greece also showed a rise in price levels of electronic goods by 103 percent in comparison to the EU28 average. As far as hotel and restaurant prices are concerned, Greece  is above  the EU28 average by 88 percent.
