Airline from United Arab Emirates Seeking Greek Staff

After Emirates and Ryanair, Etihad Airways, the airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced its intention to proceed with the hiring of 200 Greek employees. Those interested in applying are required to have previous work experience in the tourism sector. The company will choose staff during “Career Day” which will be held on Monday, June 16 in Athens, Greece.  During the event, experts of Etihad Airways will provide the attendees detailed information about life in Abu Dhabi and the potential of the proposed job. The company, which employs about 4,000 workers from 110 countries, is looking for cabin crew, food and beverage managers and inflight chefs. Those interested in participating can register on the company’s website. Cabin crew members are provided with medical insurance and accommodation in fully furnished units of the company. New cabin crew members will undergo a seven-week training program conducted at Etihad Airways’ state-of-the-art Training Academy in Abu Dhabi. More than 100 Greeks are currently working for Etihad Airways, including 38 core staff, 37 cabin crew and 35 pilots.  Etihad Airways commenced operations to Athens in June 2009, and since then has transported almost 400,000 guests. From July 2, 2014, the airline will increase its current daily Athens-Abu Dhabi services from 7 to 10 per week in order to meet the increased demand.
