The lowest rates of anti-Semitism were recorded in sub-Saharan Africa (23%), Asia (22%), America(19%) and Oceania (14%). The only countries with higher anti-semitic rates than Greece are the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (74%) given that there is an ongoing war with Israel. In Europe, high rates of anti-Semitism were recorded in Poland (45%), Bulgaria (44%), Serbia (41%) and France (37%). The lowest rates of anti-Semitism among EU countries were recorded in the UK (8%), Netherlands (5%) and Sweden (4%). Eighty-two percent of Greek respondents said that Jews have too much power in international financial markets, 60% of Greeks believe that Jews still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust and 38% claim that Jews are responsible for most of the world’s wars. The poll was conducted in 102 countries among 53,100 individuals between July 2013 and February 2014.
