Telegraph: Greek Island Among Europe’s 10 Hidden Seaside Resorts
As the countdown to summer begins, foreign travel guides begin to overflow with information on the most ideal tourist destinations.. The British news agency “Telegraph” presented Europe’s 10 hidden seaside resorts and Kea, Greece, seems to have enraptured the author of the article who included the island on the list. The author writes “Now that Athens has moved its airport away from the city and Piraeus, all the more reason to take the back door route to the islands. A morning flight, a short taxi ride to Lavrio and there will be time to look for Byron’s signature on the temple at Cape Sounion before catching the evening boat to Kea, with onward connections to the western Cyclades or Syros, hub of Aegean ferry schedules.” “There is only one flaw in this fine plan for an island-hopping tour. Kea is such a seductive and peaceful place, you may not make it past first base,” highlights the author. Then the author continues by mentioning a previous article of Telegraph concerning Kea which was posted last summer. The article characterizes the Greek island as a real postmodern island.
