The unemployment rate in Greece rose to 27.6% in May, an increase of 0.6% on April 2013 and up 3.8% on the previous year. In 2008 just 7.3% were unemployed. Just under a quarter of men (24.5%) and a third of women (31.6%) are without work. The younger you are, the more likely you are to be unemployed.
