Eleven to stand trial in Athens over soccer match-fixing allegations

A council of appeals court judges in Athens decided on Friday that 11 people should stand trial in connection with soccer match-fixing allegations.The 11 suspects included former AEK and Kavala owner Makis Psomiadis (photo) and his son, Stavros.The 11 men are charged with forming a criminal gang to fix the outcome of soccer games in Greece between 2008 and 2011 in order to win bets.They are ...
