Trainer overcomes Sandy to prep for Breeders’ Cup

Bill Mott’s long journey is finally coming to an end. Hurricane Sandy forced the Hall of Fame trainer to drive from Belmont Park on Monday to Albany to catch a flight to Fort Lauderdale then take a taxi to Miami International, before finally catching a flight to Los Angeles to prepare his three starters in Saturday’s $5 million Classic – Flat Out (5-1), Ron the Greek (6-1) and To Honor and Serve (8-1).
