South African stocks hit fresh record high

Electronic board displaying movements in major indices is seen at Johannesburg stock exchange in SandtonJOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African stocks rose to a record high on Tuesday as upbeat U.S. data and hopes Europe can advance plans to tackle Spain and Greece's debt buoyed investors appetite for riskier assets. South Africa's benchmark Top-40 index hit a record high of 32,707.35, while the All-Share index touched a record high of 36,868.19.
